This picture of two women in an embrace is going viral, but not for the reason you'd think

We’ll say nothing.

THIS PICTURE OF a subway platform in Brazil has been shared thousands of times on Facebook after it was posted on Tuesday.

But it’s not the picture that’s been going viral per se, it’s the caption.

Poster Nelson Felippe wrote: “I’m not prejudiced. I think people should do whatever they want to in their lives. But I find it absurd that I should be forced to witness a scene like this.”

What people do in private is their business only, but yes, what they do in public concerns me. And I refuse to see a scene like this and consider it normal. They’re challenging social conventions, and that can be dangerous. What if some tragedy strikes, or worse, if someone dies, who’s to blame?

So far, so awful, right? But then:

What would happen to a child who sees this scene every day? Kids will think it’s normal to wait for the subway on the yellow line.
